Virginia Link Internet and Network Management, Inc. was created on July 24, 2000 by former TCIA employees Larry Thompson, Jr. and Michele Haynes for the purpose of returning reliable, affordable internet access and technical support to the area. After initial startup, Virginia Link became the only local ISP owned and operated by Microsoft™ Certified Professionals.

Larry graduated from Galax High School in 1983 and has 18 years experience with computers and 10 years experience in networking. His experience includes consulting, web design, database design and was the system administrator for Twin County Internet Access until February 2000.
